Communion with Christ


"I tell you I will not drink again of this fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom."
Matthew 26:29

Can you imagine? Having communion with Jesus Christ? This thought floored me at church this past Sunday. I don't think I have ever listened past "...take this in remembrance of me." to hear Jesus tell us that one day we will get to partake of the Lord's supper with the Lord!

I don't think I will be able to blink, I'll just stare into his eyes. And forget chewing... I will be in awe, just speechless awe because I will be sitting before my savior. The one who paid my debt. Right there before me he'll be, and I'll see his hands as he raises the cup and I'll touch his fingers as I take the bread from him. And I'll have to remind myself to drink and eat because I'll be so lost in wonder and awe. It will make the weight of the words from one of my favorite hymns a little more fathomable.

Jesus paid it all
All to Him I owe

In a Nut Shell...

Saturday afternoon, 2pm, got home from Costco and thought I might be going into labor. Troy woke up from his nap at 3:30, sensed what was going on and was not too happy about it at all. Thinking it was pretty early, but not want wanting to take any chances, we left for the hospital a bit before 4 o'clock Yep, too early. Walked the halls for an hour which produced more of these... Which felt like this... And at 8:42pm they led to this... We are so thrilled to add a precious baby girl to our family We love you Mia Joy! (7lbs 2oz, 18.5" long)

Crafty Me

I'm pretty excited because I'm not crafty, at all, but when I saw this idea on my new favorite crafty blog I got all giddy because I thought, "I can do that!" and so I did. And since my kids ARE crafty, go figure, I had all the stuff to make them on hand - yippee! All I had to do was buy the goodies that make the wings, which only cost me a dollar (thank you Dollar Tree!). I put them in the kid's little Easter buckets. I hope they like them as much I do. :-)
