A Taste of Troy

Troy is feeling better and back to his adorable self, yay!! I've been trying to get his oh-so-cute voice on video... these aren't the best, but they are a hint of his adorableness, just a hint. To get a chance to take Troy in in all his glory is one you should not pass up. He's hilarious, (as most 18month olds are) and he warms my heart to no end. Now that he's fun again I like to tell him he's back to being my favorite and if there's an earthquake I'd choose him. What? Don't tell me you don't think about which kid you'd save in an emergency!

i can see why my dad latched on to this cutie-boy. he is scrumptious! tell him mrs. caruana is sending him kisses and squeezes from indiana (not that he'd actually let me hug and kiss him if i were there...but u know, if he were mine, his cheeks would be in big trouble!)

Cute videos, but you are right... they do not show the true cuteness that is Troy the Boy. Although, Lolly, the cuteness that is Troy is a lot like the cuteness that is Caleb :) So I am sure you get more than a taste of squishyness with that kiddo. :)
It is ok that you pick Troy! I will run over and get Addie, Mark can grab Mia in one arm and Ben in the other :)

Oh I love that kid of yours! My favorite things about Troy are 1. his love for food 2. his little raspy voice 3. how cute he looked after his nap today and 4. how he can take a fall. I seriously see the makings of a stunt man.

I have to agree with Mariah...his little raspy voice is just precious. It makes me smile. I love how he says Mia's name too!

I'm pretty excited because I'm not crafty, at all, but when I saw this idea on my new favorite crafty blog I got all giddy because I thought, "I can do that!" and so I did. And since my kids ARE crafty, go figure, I had all the stuff to make them on hand - yippee! All I had to do was buy the goodies that make the wings, which only cost me a dollar (thank you Dollar Tree!). I put them in the kid's little Easter buckets. I hope they like them as much I do. :-)

In a Nut Shell...

Saturday afternoon, 2pm, got home from Costco and thought I might be going into labor. Troy woke up from his nap at 3:30, sensed what was going on and was not too happy about it at all. Thinking it was pretty early, but not want wanting to take any chances, we left for the hospital a bit before 4 o'clock Yep, too early. Walked the halls for an hour which produced more of these... Which felt like this... And at 8:42pm they led to this... We are so thrilled to add a precious baby girl to our family We love you Mia Joy! (7lbs 2oz, 18.5" long)

I know that people come from good places and the intentions behind their comments are never bad, and sometimes they're actually funny, but sometimes I just want to say, um, really? Is that the BEST thing you can think of to say? Here are some of my faves from last week... "I'm going to un-friend you on facebook because you do not look like you just had a baby a week ago." - sorry? "What's her name? ... Oh I know SO MANY Mia's. Like, SO many." - great. "Are you guys finished yet? Is there some literature out there I can get for you (to teach you about prevention)?" (This one is my favorite) - "I'm the oldest of three and I am SO glad my parent's didn't have a fourth." - um... okay. This is the one I hear from almost everyone, it's not necessarily a bad thing to say, I just get it A LOT, "Two boys and two girls? Oh, the perfect family."
