Yay for Meems!



Mia got her cast removed yesterday and received a clean bill of (leg) health. (Head, chest, ears, nose... not so clean and healthy.)

We went to Frapys to celebrate! It was directly across the street from the doctor's office, so how could we not go?


I felt a twinge of guilt bringing my obviously sick brood into the public like that, but there was no one else in the place, due to the lovely rain, and I personally wiped down every surface we touched with germ fighting wipes, then encouraged the bored-out-of-his-mind worker to do the same.

Then we went home and the girl took a looooooooooooooooooong HOT bath.


Congrats Mia! May you stay cast-free for years to come. :)

I'll bet she LOVED being in that bath...something she has missed for weeks! She looks happy as a duck :)
Glad her leg healed nicely and I hope all her other sick parts are being healed quickly as well.

Saturday afternoon, 2pm, got home from Costco and thought I might be going into labor. Troy woke up from his nap at 3:30, sensed what was going on and was not too happy about it at all. Thinking it was pretty early, but not want wanting to take any chances, we left for the hospital a bit before 4 o'clock Yep, too early. Walked the halls for an hour which produced more of these... I know that people come from good places and the intentions behind their comments are never bad, and sometimes they're actually funny, but sometimes I just want to say, um, really? Is that the BEST thing you can think of to say? Here are some of my faves from last week... "I'm going to un-friend you on facebook because you do not look like you just had a baby a week ago." - sorry? "What's her name? ... Oh I know SO MANY Mia's. Like, SO many." - great. "Are you guys finished yet? Is there some literature out there I can get for you (to teach you about prevention)?" (This one is my favorite) - "I'm the oldest of three and I am SO glad my parent's didn't have a fourth." - um... okay. This is the one I hear from almost everyone, it's not necessarily a bad thing to say, I just get it A LOT, "Two boys and two girls? Oh, the perfect family." Crafty Me

I'm pretty excited because I'm not crafty, at all, but when I saw this idea on my new favorite crafty blog I got all giddy because I thought, "I can do that!" and so I did. And since my kids ARE crafty, go figure, I had all the stuff to make them on hand - yippee! All I had to do was buy the goodies that make the wings, which only cost me a dollar (thank you Dollar Tree!). I put them in the kid's little Easter buckets. I hope they like them as much I do. :-)
