Well, life is just getting away from me these days! It's been so good though, so much better than I thought having two could be. People ask me all the time how Ben is doing, and really, it seems like he's sweeter, funnier, cuter than even before Addie was born. He has even offered his beloved blanket "D" when she's been upset. If that isn't the ultimate sign of sacrificial love I don't know what is. I thought for sure when I was pregnant that as soon as the baby was born I'd have to say goodbye to my little boy. I thought I'd never get to hold him or play with him at the drop of a dime anymore. I thought he'd hate me for abandoning him and I thought for sure we'd never have time to just sit anymore like we'd been in habit of doing every so often together. Even though some of these activities have decreased in time a bit, nothing has decreased by means of quality. We still build forts and "big tall towers". We still laugh and make silly faces at each other, although it's often over the top of a nursing Addie's head. And we sit together, just him and me, and it's wonderful precious and perfect for that moment. Every fear I had of having two kids has been knocked so far. I've made it to the grocery store with both - a feat I had to ask Keri Lyon how to accomplish. :) There is still room for an occasional disaster, I don't live in a fantasy world, but my life is good, so good it takes my breath away at times. And I am so thankful, so so SO thankful.
This was shared at my baby shower for Addison. I think it's frame-worthy.
How to Pray for Your Children...

3. That they will be caught when guilty. (Psalm 119:71)
4. That they will be protected from the evil one in each area of their lives—spiritual, emotional, and physical. (John 17:15)
5. That they will have a responsible attitude in all their interpersonal relationships. (Daniel 6:3)
6. That they will respect those in authority over them. (Romans 13:1)
7. That they will desire the right kind of friends and be protected from the wrong friends. (Proverbs 1:10-11)
8. That they, as well as their mate, will be kept pure until marriage. (1 Corinthians 6:18-20)
9. That they will be kept from the wrong mate and saved for the right one.
(2 Corinthians 6:14-17)
10. That they will learn to totally submit to God and actively resist Satan in all circumstances. (James 4:7)
11. That they will be single-hearted, willing to be sold out to Jesus Christ. (Romans 12:1-2)
12. That they will be hedged in so they cannot find their way to wrong people or wrong places, and that the wrong people cannot find their way to them. (Hosea 2:6)
