In a Nut Shell...

Saturday afternoon, 2pm, got home from Costco and thought I might be going into labor.

Troy woke up from his nap at 3:30, sensed what was going on and was not too happy about it at all.

Thinking it was pretty early, but not want wanting to take any chances, we left for the hospital a bit before 4 o'clock

Yep, too early.

Walked the halls for an hour which produced more of these...

Which felt like this...

And at 8:42pm they led to this...

We are so thrilled to add a precious baby girl to our family

We love you Mia Joy! (7lbs 2oz, 18.5" long)

Great job, Sarah! (On the baby, but the post is good, too). I love the pic of you and Troy...that is one of the bitterweet things about a new baby and that picture captures it so well! Congratulations, and I hope everything went well (you know, all the gory stuff you don't share with the world) :)

I love when a story is told through pictures! I feel like you did not even need the text. Awesome. So happy for the Fitz Fam (Table for 6) :)

AwWW Mia you are so sweet! I love this post Sarah...I especially love how the "it felt like this" pic looks like your taking a peaceful nap...if only contractions felt like that :) you and Mark sure do make cute kids.
No wonder you guys keep making babies...they're so stinkin' cute! I love you my friend and hope to connect with you soon! (I was hoping to visit you this morning, but... all three kids have sick green snot running from their noses, nasty coughs and Thompson has an ear infection. Plus, Tim's went back to work on Monday and won't get home until Satuday morning. So I'm on my own!! Hope I can come see your sweet baby girl next week!! I love her! And I love you!!)

Sarah, it never seems to amaze me, everytime I see a newborn picture of a baby being welcomed into the world, how babies fit into our bodies so tightly curled and squeezed, and ever so delicately are born into a baby! ? God is SO amazing, and He thought of every little detail, so perfectly. Isn't He!? !!!
Congrats on your new little baby girl! :) {you guys have a pattern going on...}
Love you!

by the way, you should print this out and mail it to Mamaw! She'd love reading and seeing the pictures! :) (just a idea/ or suggestion from my opinion...though.)
