Hey, Pay Attention!

Let me reiterate the fact that my computer is gone. Yes, again. It does seem to happen to me quite a bit, I don't know why. Maybe because I get Mark's hand-me downs which I'm so not complaining about - they're perfect for the two things I do on a computer -check my email and blog. However, he uses his computers to their fullest capacity so when I get them they're usually on their way out anyway. But this one I think was new to me, so that theory really doesn't work in this case. All of this is besides the point, the point is I have yet to obtain email addresses from most of you. Mom, Carrie, Lauren and Amy Abbott are off the hook. But the rest of you, and you know who you are, MUST email me so I have your email address. I'm not asking for a message or anything, just type in my address and press send for all I care, I just need your address.

~~~~~~~~~~Please excuse my dad's comment. All of you, and I'm talking the the masses here - all 5 of you - are aware my email changed from verizon to gmail many moons ago. So pay no mind to his badgering. He means well, and I love him dearly for it.

I'm pretty excited because I'm not crafty, at all, but when I saw this idea on my new favorite crafty blog I got all giddy because I thought, "I can do that!" and so I did. And since my kids ARE crafty, go figure, I had all the stuff to make them on hand - yippee! All I had to do was buy the goodies that make the wings, which only cost me a dollar (thank you Dollar Tree!). I put them in the kid's little Easter buckets. I hope they like them as much I do. :-)

In a Nut Shell...

Saturday afternoon, 2pm, got home from Costco and thought I might be going into labor. Troy woke up from his nap at 3:30, sensed what was going on and was not too happy about it at all. Thinking it was pretty early, but not want wanting to take any chances, we left for the hospital a bit before 4 o'clock Yep, too early. Walked the halls for an hour which produced more of these... Which felt like this... And at 8:42pm they led to this... We are so thrilled to add a precious baby girl to our family We love you Mia Joy! (7lbs 2oz, 18.5" long)

I know that people come from good places and the intentions behind their comments are never bad, and sometimes they're actually funny, but sometimes I just want to say, um, really? Is that the BEST thing you can think of to say? Here are some of my faves from last week... "I'm going to un-friend you on facebook because you do not look like you just had a baby a week ago." - sorry? "What's her name? ... Oh I know SO MANY Mia's. Like, SO many." - great. "Are you guys finished yet? Is there some literature out there I can get for you (to teach you about prevention)?" (This one is my favorite) - "I'm the oldest of three and I am SO glad my parent's didn't have a fourth." - um... okay. This is the one I hear from almost everyone, it's not necessarily a bad thing to say, I just get it A LOT, "Two boys and two girls? Oh, the perfect family."
