Happy Birthday Mom!! I don't know if you know this, but my mom is the best mom in the world! It was so fun getting to celebrate with her and most of the family yesterday. I've always thought my mom was a good one... then I had kids and realized she was a GREAT one. Her whole life she's exemplified qualities that I am still trying to emulate. She's a hard worker, and she's really good at what she does. She's smart, because she reads a lot and she listens to people. She believes in prayer and has covered each of her kids, and now grandkids, in prayer since our births. She's a good friend to many and best friends with only a few, she is wise in her friendships. And to top it all off, she is so beautiful! Just look at her! I love, love, love that we've had another year with her, and hope for MANY more. I love you Mom, happy birthday!

I know that people come from good places and the intentions behind their comments are never bad, and sometimes they're actually funny, but sometimes I just want to say, um, really? In a Nut Shell...

Saturday afternoon, 2pm, got home from Costco and thought I might be going into labor. Troy woke up from his nap at 3:30, sensed what was going on and was not too happy about it at all. Thinking it was pretty early, but not want wanting to take any chances, we left for the hospital a bit before 4 o'clock Yep, too early. Walked the halls for an hour which produced more of these... Which felt like this... And at 8:42pm they led to this... We are so thrilled to add a precious baby girl to our family We love you Mia Joy! (7lbs 2oz, 18.5" long)

Crafty Me

I'm pretty excited because I'm not crafty, at all, but when I saw this idea on my new favorite crafty blog I got all giddy because I thought, "I can do that!" and so I did. And since my kids ARE crafty, go figure, I had all the stuff to make them on hand - yippee! All I had to do was buy the goodies that make the wings, which only cost me a dollar (thank you Dollar Tree!). I put them in the kid's little Easter buckets. I hope they like them as much I do. :-)
