A Happy Little Tale

I have no problem asking people for things. Even when I think the answer is no I still ask. And I'm ok hearing a no, just like I'm ok saying a no. But I just never know when that answer will be YES, so I ask, always.

Tonight I busied myself with ordering Ben's school uniforms for the fall. I like uniforms because there's never a question of what to wear in the morning. It will eliminate probably 5-10 minutes of Ben's "getting dressed" woes. (The boy still wants to wear cozy pant all day, every day, everywhere). Uniforms are my friends.

Their prices are not.

His duds have to be from Lands' End, so when I found a great coupon for online ordering with a discount on the total AND free shipping HOT DOG I was excited! (That was for you, D). Minutes before I was about to press the Buy Now button I received a notice that my offer had expired - because it was based on CDT (Central Daylight Time, whatever that is) not Cali time. Oh I was so sad! But then I saw their pretty Customer Service hot line, and even though it was past midnight (CDT of course) I gave it a go.

I told him I blew it, didn't factor in the time difference and asked for mercy and an extension for the discount code AND THEY GAVE IT TO ME! Probably SO not a big deal for them, but it saved me at least $25, and here I am blogging about it...

So thanks, Troy, from Lands' End customer service department. You're a peach. And you have a great name.

Come to think of it, maybe he gave me the discount because I told him his name is fantastic and that my son's name is also Troy. Well, for whatever reason I am one happy online shopper. And seeing as how I could, potentially, be sending four kids to this school - Lands' End and I best be on good terms, and we are.

The End.

That is so awesome. I don't understand Lands End... to pricey for what it is! If you ever need more I will look into trying to get it wholesale pricing for you.
Troy is a great name! I love companies that have great customer service! It really makes you want to spend your money at those places! Like Nordy's :)
