I Love Sundays!!!! (Not just the ice-cream kind.)

Today I am so thankful for...
1. a really interesting message today at church based on The Da Vinci Code, everyone should hear our pastors response to one of the biggest slaps in the face- punch in the gut conspiracies ever thought of.
2. Ben's great attitude today. It's probably because Mark was with him all day, so that was a nice change of pace from Ben always being with me.
3. Papa Paul, Gma coming for the day!! Along with them came Christina and Matt, two great kids who are family friends.
4. the great Matt's sweet way with Ben and his little sister.
5. our little jaunt to Lake Mission Viejo, just 2 miles up the road. We played on the play-ground and walked around. It was beautiful! I think we're going to love having that lake so close, especially in the summer.
6. the GREAT dinner Paul and Tina fixed for us. They brought everything and cooked it all and we got to sit back and enjoy their company and the company of our dear friends Nick and Lisa.
7. Nick and Lisa's surprise visit!! I love spur of the moment stuff, and being a true Fitzpatrick (or maybe it's a Kuebler thing) there was PLENTY of food for our impromptu guests to stay for dinner.
8. Lisa's little belly. Almost 4 1/2 months along and she's so beautiful, I am so excited for them!!!
9. Our carpet in the family cushioning Ben's (hard) fall instead of the tile that would've been there had we been in our old house.
10. PAUL HANGING A BUNCH OF STUFF FOR ME!!!! It feels a bit more like home here everyday.

I know that people come from good places and the intentions behind their comments are never bad, and sometimes they're actually funny, but sometimes I just want to say, um, really? Is that the BEST thing you can think of to say? Here are some of my faves from last week... "I'm going to un-friend you on facebook because you do not look like you just had a baby a week ago." - sorry? "What's her name? ... Oh I know SO MANY Mia's. Like, SO many." - great. In a Nut Shell...

Saturday afternoon, 2pm, got home from Costco and thought I might be going into labor. Troy woke up from his nap at 3:30, sensed what was going on and was not too happy about it at all. Thinking it was pretty early, but not want wanting to take any chances, we left for the hospital a bit before 4 o'clock Yep, too early. Walked the halls for an hour which produced more of these... Which felt like this... And at 8:42pm they led to this... We are so thrilled to add a precious baby girl to our family We love you Mia Joy! (7lbs 2oz, 18.5" long)

Crafty Me

I'm pretty excited because I'm not crafty, at all, but when I saw this idea on my new favorite crafty blog I got all giddy because I thought, "I can do that!" and so I did. And since my kids ARE crafty, go figure, I had all the stuff to make them on hand - yippee! All I had to do was buy the goodies that make the wings, which only cost me a dollar (thank you Dollar Tree!). I put them in the kid's little Easter buckets. I hope they like them as much I do. :-)
