Ez and Ben horsen' around, um, on a cow.
One proud Papa!
Some rather tart grapes!
Riding high on Dad's shoulders. It boast a terrific view.
The three lovely mommies, we miss Pam!!!
(These are some pictures from our dinner yesterday. )
Little Daniel Abbott turned ONE today! How can this be? It feels like he was just born yesterday! He has one of the sweetest disposition I've ever seen. So happy and content. I hear he's walking and starting to talk now too? Wow, that boy is pure joy! Happy birthday Little D, I hope it was a wonderful one!
Today I am thankful for...
1. Daniel Todd Abbott and is wonderful first year of life. I love that he has been such a delight for Amy and Todd, what a gift.
2. all the pictures my parents took yesterday. It looks like we're having a lot of fun, but really we're miserable with sadness because we miss Darren, Pam, Jesse and Luci.
3. getting to go to Target alone.
4. (I can't remember if I put this in the last one...) my really clean van!! I took it to the car wash, which is a treat in and of itself, so for at least 12 hours it was sparkling and shining and smelling like Pina Colada! (Got to the love air freshener option!) Then Ben got in it, and then it rained, soooo, it's back to the mess it truly relishes, I suppose.
5. the old man at Costco stopping me and Ben to tell us a cute joke. I'll tell it below for those of you who are interested. He stopped because Ben was pointing at him and saying "baby!" so I told him, "no, that's not a baby." to which the old man said to us, "yes I am! Well, really more of a BABE." So cute. I love old people who talk to Ben.
6. finally getting a trash can for our kitchen!
7. a long email from Keri. She writes just like she talks, so it's so fun to "hear" from her.
8. the people who moved next door to Jason and Carrie are really cool and Carrie really likes the wife/mom.
9. the marshmallow-caramel-dark chocolate candies from Sees. I've narrowed it down and they are my absolute favorite. And I just had one. Mmm Mmm GOOD, as Michael Abbott would say.
10. Todd Abbott who is so gosh darn funny. Really, it would make my LIFE if he lived down the street and I could experience his humor on a regular basis. Darn that great job in Charlotte.
*** Here's the joke he told...
~ A little girl was drawing a picture and her mother asked her what she was drawing.
"I'm drawing a picture of God." Said the little girl.
To which the mom replied, "Honey, you can't draw a picture of God; no one has ever seen him so no one knows what he looks like."
The little girl kept on coloring and said, "Well they will when I'm done coloring!"
(If you read it pretending an old man is telling it to you it might be funnier. It's cute none the less, and she quite possibly has a point.)
