Today I am so thankful for...
1. MOPS. I'm going to say it every Thursday, I love it so much.
2. memories of good friends
3. Leslie's going to Trader Joe's for the FIRST time, believe it or not, and finding out that I wasn't just making up all the hype; it really is the best place on earth.
4. Mark being able to get a lot done at the house today.
5. finding old journals and reading some in them. The things I stressed about when I was 16! It's a funny read, that's for sure.
6. Ez getting the proper medical treatments and that Carrie took him to the doctor. Poor little guy.
7. my trip to the mall.
8. e-Bay
9. strawberry stands, especially the TWO within walking distance to my house.
10. fruit in general. I'm agreeing with my friend Marie on this one, California has the best fruit year-round. I would miss it if I lived anywhere else. I'm not saying other states don't have good fruit, relax my loves in MS, NC, KY and IL, Cally has a better variety and at a cheaper cost too, that's all.

Yes, you are right...Cally does have the best strawberries year round, and cheaper! That's why you should really drop a box of them in the mail, and bill me for them! :)

I'm pretty excited because I'm not crafty, at all, but when I saw this idea on my new favorite crafty blog I got all giddy because I thought, "I can do that!" and so I did. And since my kids ARE crafty, go figure, I had all the stuff to make them on hand - yippee! All I had to do was buy the goodies that make the wings, which only cost me a dollar (thank you Dollar Tree!). I put them in the kid's little Easter buckets. I hope they like them as much I do. :-)

In a Nut Shell...

Saturday afternoon, 2pm, got home from Costco and thought I might be going into labor. Troy woke up from his nap at 3:30, sensed what was going on and was not too happy about it at all. Thinking it was pretty early, but not want wanting to take any chances, we left for the hospital a bit before 4 o'clock Yep, too early. Walked the halls for an hour which produced more of these... Which felt like this... And at 8:42pm they led to this... We are so thrilled to add a precious baby girl to our family We love you Mia Joy! (7lbs 2oz, 18.5" long)

I know that people come from good places and the intentions behind their comments are never bad, and sometimes they're actually funny, but sometimes I just want to say, um, really? Is that the BEST thing you can think of to say? Here are some of my faves from last week... "I'm going to un-friend you on facebook because you do not look like you just had a baby a week ago." - sorry? "What's her name? ... Oh I know SO MANY Mia's. Like, SO many." - great. "Are you guys finished yet? Is there some literature out there I can get for you (to teach you about prevention)?" (This one is my favorite) - "I'm the oldest of three and I am SO glad my parent's didn't have a fourth." - um... okay. This is the one I hear from almost everyone, it's not necessarily a bad thing to say, I just get it A LOT, "Two boys and two girls? Oh, the perfect family."
