I have great news! TWO more people have added their own Thankful List Blogs!! My wonderful cousin Amy who is so sweet to me and is one of the best moms I know. Check her blog out at www.aallen615.blogspot.com . Also, my dear friend Marie who was an answer to prayer for me when I first got married and had no friends in Laguna Niguel. She has always been an enouragement to me through times of joy and sorrow, and there have been a few of both. She hasn't given me her address yet, but when she does you'll have to check out her thankful list too. I really can't think of anything better for people to copying, so who is next???

Today I am so thankful for...

1. My mom who keeps everything and knows right where it is so when I call her 20 years after the last time I used it she can pull it out in less than 30 seconds. That's a gift!
2. Marie, for being such a faithful friend to me over the past 3 1/2 years.
3. the Grahams, who invited us over for a wonderful dinner last night
4. the Grahams, for moving closer to us. Carona was such a long drive!
5. puppies, particularly Ginger - the Graham's new Brittany.
6. ability and desire to give gifts at Christmas
7. the understanding that the ultimate Gift is Jesus.
8. Mark because he can make Ben laugh harder and longer than I can
9. my cousin Amy because I know it's not so much her nature to be optimistic but she's growing and is still one of the sweetest people I know.
10. the peanut butter cups from Trader Joe's, thanks Joe.

Saturday afternoon, 2pm, got home from Costco and thought I might be going into labor. Troy woke up from his nap at 3:30, sensed what was going on and was not too happy about it at all. Thinking it was pretty early, but not want wanting to take any chances, we left for the hospital a bit before 4 o'clock Yep, too early. Walked the halls for an hour which produced more of these... Which felt like this... And at 8:42pm they led to this... We are so thrilled to add a precious baby girl to our family We love you Mia Joy! (7lbs 2oz, 18.5" long)

I know that people come from good places and the intentions behind their comments are never bad, and sometimes they're actually funny, but sometimes I just want to say, um, really? Is that the BEST thing you can think of to say? Here are some of my faves from last week... "I'm going to un-friend you on facebook because you do not look like you just had a baby a week ago." - sorry? "What's her name? ... Oh I know SO MANY Mia's. Like, SO many." - great. "Are you guys finished yet? Is there some literature out there I can get for you (to teach you about prevention)?" (This one is my favorite) - "I'm the oldest of three and I am SO glad my parent's didn't have a fourth." - um... okay. This is the one I hear from almost everyone, it's not necessarily a bad thing to say, I just get it A LOT, "Two boys and two girls? Oh, the perfect family." Crafty Me

I'm pretty excited because I'm not crafty, at all, but when I saw this idea on my new favorite crafty blog I got all giddy because I thought, "I can do that!" and so I did. And since my kids ARE crafty, go figure, I had all the stuff to make them on hand - yippee! All I had to do was buy the goodies that make the wings, which only cost me a dollar (thank you Dollar Tree!). I put them in the kid's little Easter buckets. I hope they like them as much I do. :-)
