Ben has received two birthday presents in the mail. BIRTHDAY PRESENTS! He is going to be one in less than a week. My baby is not a baby anymore!! I just can't get over it? Where did the time go?

Anyways...

Today I am thankful for...

1. being able to go to a movie with Mark this afternoon while Tina, Nonny and Howie took Ben to the mall. We saw Chronicles of Narnia, it was really good. And Ben got a balloon at the mall, so we all came home happy.

2. Mark knowing me so well. It's very comforting.

3. Keri's very empathetic, reassuring and friendly advice.

4. getting some laundry done.

5. Ben having such a fun day with his Gma and Nonny and Howie. They took him to dinner and to a cousin's house and he was perfect for them, came home and went to sleep without a peep.

6. being able to casually get ready for a Christmas party because Ben was out. Usually he's into all my makeup and won't get off of my lap. So, it was nice to take my time and put some thought into the shade of eye shadow, as opposed to just putting on whichever color I grab away from Ben's mouth.

7. spell-check

8. a wonderful time with our small group at our Christmas party tonight.

9. the REALLY good food that everyone brought. Brie cheese, little salami and mozzarella sandwiches, cherry cheese cake, cream puffs, fondu! and so much more!!

10. Brent and Kelly for opening their home and making everyone feel so welcome tonight. They are beautiful people and I'm very blessed by their friendship.

Girl, I like spell check too, but is still does me NO GOOD! LOL...there's always a mistake in my work! And the change in your blog is neat! I like change, been thinking about changing mine again!
P.S...Ben will soon be getting another gift in the mail....packaged today!:)

Saturday afternoon, 2pm, got home from Costco and thought I might be going into labor. Troy woke up from his nap at 3:30, sensed what was going on and was not too happy about it at all. Thinking it was pretty early, but not want wanting to take any chances, we left for the hospital a bit before 4 o'clock Yep, too early. Walked the halls for an hour which produced more of these... I know that people come from good places and the intentions behind their comments are never bad, and sometimes they're actually funny, but sometimes I just want to say, um, really? Is that the BEST thing you can think of to say? Here are some of my faves from last week... "I'm going to un-friend you on facebook because you do not look like you just had a baby a week ago." - sorry? "What's her name? ... Oh I know SO MANY Mia's. Like, SO many." - great. "Are you guys finished yet? Is there some literature out there I can get for you (to teach you about prevention)?" (This one is my favorite) - "I'm the oldest of three and I am SO glad my parent's didn't have a fourth." - um... okay. This is the one I hear from almost everyone, it's not necessarily a bad thing to say, I just get it A LOT, "Two boys and two girls? Oh, the perfect family." Crafty Me

I'm pretty excited because I'm not crafty, at all, but when I saw this idea on my new favorite crafty blog I got all giddy because I thought, "I can do that!" and so I did. And since my kids ARE crafty, go figure, I had all the stuff to make them on hand - yippee! All I had to do was buy the goodies that make the wings, which only cost me a dollar (thank you Dollar Tree!). I put them in the kid's little Easter buckets. I hope they like them as much I do. :-)
