Oh, big news!! And you were starting to think the "thankful list" was just a fad... my sister-in-law Carrie, Jason's wife, has joined in on the thankful fun. Visit her site at www.carrieprinceblog.blogspot.com . I talk about her all the time, so I really don't have to tell ya'll how much I admire and love her. Right now there's a really cute picture of Ezekiel posted, so go check it out. Now who's next??? Pam? Lauren????? :) I kid, I kid.

I am so thankful for...

o. Carrie's new blog, I'm so proud. :)
1. my mom being such a trooper and a hard worker at her job.
2. the BEAUTIFUL, 80 degree + weather we had today.
3. Mark's calm demeanor.
4. Mark putting another house into escrow tomorrow for a client!
5. Kelly sending us the cutest, sweetest, "new house" card. I loved that she started it by saying "hi neighbors!" She is so thoughtful. I'm sure as soon as I got off the phone with her she made that card and put it in the mail. Precious.
6. Leslie and Jason having us over for dinner.
7. Ben going to sleep at their house so we were able to stay until 10 o'clock!
8. Leslie's warm nature and welcoming spirit.
9. Mark and Jason (Johns) getting along so well. Mark isn't really one for new friends, so it's nice to see Jason made the cut. :)
10. my adorable, fun, exciting little nephew Michael who said, "Hi Mom" to my sister-in-law today! I can't wait to see him and hear all of his words and animal noises!!! Less than 2 weeks!!

Saturday afternoon, 2pm, got home from Costco and thought I might be going into labor. Troy woke up from his nap at 3:30, sensed what was going on and was not too happy about it at all. Thinking it was pretty early, but not want wanting to take any chances, we left for the hospital a bit before 4 o'clock Yep, too early. Walked the halls for an hour which produced more of these... Which felt like this... And at 8:42pm they led to this... We are so thrilled to add a precious baby girl to our family We love you Mia Joy! (7lbs 2oz, 18.5" long)

I know that people come from good places and the intentions behind their comments are never bad, and sometimes they're actually funny, but sometimes I just want to say, um, really? Is that the BEST thing you can think of to say? Here are some of my faves from last week... "I'm going to un-friend you on facebook because you do not look like you just had a baby a week ago." - sorry? "What's her name? ... Oh I know SO MANY Mia's. Like, SO many." - great. "Are you guys finished yet? Is there some literature out there I can get for you (to teach you about prevention)?" (This one is my favorite) - "I'm the oldest of three and I am SO glad my parent's didn't have a fourth." - um... okay. This is the one I hear from almost everyone, it's not necessarily a bad thing to say, I just get it A LOT, "Two boys and two girls? Oh, the perfect family." Crafty Me

I'm pretty excited because I'm not crafty, at all, but when I saw this idea on my new favorite crafty blog I got all giddy because I thought, "I can do that!" and so I did. And since my kids ARE crafty, go figure, I had all the stuff to make them on hand - yippee! All I had to do was buy the goodies that make the wings, which only cost me a dollar (thank you Dollar Tree!). I put them in the kid's little Easter buckets. I hope they like them as much I do. :-)
