These boys had a lot of fun playing together. I'm very thankful for Amy, who brought herself and the boys down for a visit and for Tina and Paul for sharing them with us. (FYI, if you click on the picture you can enlarge it and see it more clearly. This works for all pictures posted on blogspot.)

Today I am thankful for...

1.the plumber, Eddy, who is a really great guy, for fixing both of our bath tubs. One wouldn't plug and the other wouldn't drain, go figure.

2. the beautiful weather which allowed us all to play outside a lot today.

3. Michael’s artwork hanging on the sliding glass door. He colored some masterpieces for me.
4. the big hug Michael always gives me when he sees me, no matter how long it has been.
5. Paul and Tina coming down for the afternoon and helping us get started on packing up the house.
6. Amy’s help in packing up all the hallway stuff. She had little to no sleep last night, both of her boys were napping and she should’ve been too, but instead she gifted us with a tremendous act of service and I’m so thankful for her sacrifice.
7. finding an item I knew I had, but just couldn’t put my finger on. What a relief it was!
8. Ben taking a nap from 4-5 and still going to bed at 7 on the dot. That boy was exhausted from all the hard playing he and the boys did today.
9. Carrie and the boys coming to visit Amy and her boys. I’m thankful that, not only do I get along with my sister-in-laws, but they get along with each other too.
10. a new challenge that will motivate me to take better care of myself.

Saturday afternoon, 2pm, got home from Costco and thought I might be going into labor. Troy woke up from his nap at 3:30, sensed what was going on and was not too happy about it at all. Thinking it was pretty early, but not want wanting to take any chances, we left for the hospital a bit before 4 o'clock Yep, too early. Walked the halls for an hour which produced more of these... Which felt like this... And at 8:42pm they led to this... We are so thrilled to add a precious baby girl to our family We love you Mia Joy! (7lbs 2oz, 18.5" long)

I know that people come from good places and the intentions behind their comments are never bad, and sometimes they're actually funny, but sometimes I just want to say, um, really? Is that the BEST thing you can think of to say? Here are some of my faves from last week... "I'm going to un-friend you on facebook because you do not look like you just had a baby a week ago." - sorry? "What's her name? ... Oh I know SO MANY Mia's. Like, SO many." - great. "Are you guys finished yet? Is there some literature out there I can get for you (to teach you about prevention)?" (This one is my favorite) - "I'm the oldest of three and I am SO glad my parent's didn't have a fourth." - um... okay. This is the one I hear from almost everyone, it's not necessarily a bad thing to say, I just get it A LOT, "Two boys and two girls? Oh, the perfect family." Crafty Me

I'm pretty excited because I'm not crafty, at all, but when I saw this idea on my new favorite crafty blog I got all giddy because I thought, "I can do that!" and so I did. And since my kids ARE crafty, go figure, I had all the stuff to make them on hand - yippee! All I had to do was buy the goodies that make the wings, which only cost me a dollar (thank you Dollar Tree!). I put them in the kid's little Easter buckets. I hope they like them as much I do. :-)
